
About Course
This dynamic and intensive training programme is designed for 1st line migration practitioners, particularly those deployed at the border and actively engaged in the fight against Transnational Organised Crime. Over four consecutive training days (25 hours of learning), learners will gain a deep understanding of foundational TOC concepts, its various forms, and the pivotal role of first responders. They will delve into the core concepts and legal frameworks of TOC, exploring key areas such as trafficking in human beings, smuggling of migrants, drug trafficking, and money laundering. The programme emphasises the identification of ‘red flags’ and the critical importance of evidence collection and preservation, empowering first responders to support investigations effectively.
The training also underscores the vital importance of international cooperation in combating TOC, equipping learners with the tools and strategies needed for effective collaboration with global partners.

Formative Assessment :
Formative assessment techniques will encompass both individual and group-based approaches. Learners will be expected to participate throughout the course in a variety of group/guided discussions, Q&A sessions, practical exercises, case studies, and small group work.

Final examination:
The final examination is designed to evaluate learners’ understanding of the concepts covered during the course and their adeptness in applying them to practical scenarios. The questions encompass a diverse blend of multiple-choice, true or false and free narrative text (short-answer formats) – (20 questions total).
